Mary Chatman, President of Kennestone & Windy Hill Hospital to Speak at July Marietta Area Council |

Join the Cobb Chamber for the next Marietta Area Council on Wednesday, July 21 at 11:30 a.m. where Mary Chatman, President of Kennestone and Windy Hill Hospital, will share an update on the one year anniversary of Kennestone’s emergency room opening. In July of 2020, the second largest emergency room in the country opened its doors to our community. The new facility brought Wellstar Kennestone Hospital's capacity to 663 beds, with 166 of those being in the emergency department. The department has now nearly quintupled in space, going from about 55,000 square feet to 263,000, and includes special features designed to treat anyone who walks through the doors.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center. Tickets are $30 for Cobb Chamber members and $40 for general admission. Registration for limited in-person seating will close on Monday, July 19—or once maximum capacity is reached. Walk-up admissions and payment cannot be granted.
