Georgia Film Office Deputy Commissioner to Speak at Cobb Executive Women’s Virtual Luncheon

Join the Cobb Chamber’s Cobb Executive Women group on Friday, May 15 for CEW’s Virtual Luncheon. This month, guest speaker Lee Thomas, Division Director of the Georgia Film Office and Deputy Commissioner at the Georgia Department of Economic Development, will deliver a presentation, titled, “The Economic Impact of the Film Industry on Cobb County and How We Can Engage.”

Lee Thomas has worked in the Georgia Film and Videotape Office since 1996 and became director of the film division in 2010.  Films that Lee has worked with include “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” “The Blind Side,” “Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil,” “Footloose,” “Fast 5,” “The Conspirator,” and “Zombieland.”

Lee's strong leadership has made Georgia the top spot for filming movies and television, which is one of the many reasons that Lee was named Georgia Trend's 2019 Georgian of the Year.

The Virtual Luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. and is sponsored by Yearlong Presenting Sponsor Kaiser Permanente and Program Sponsor, The Growth Coach. Registration is free and open to members and non-members. A Zoom link will be sent in the confirmation email.
