Allison Giddens Named 2019 Woman of Distinction

Cobb Executive Women (CEW) presented its 2019 Woman of Distinction Award to Allison Giddens, Director of Operations at Win-Tech Inc., at the Cobb Chamber’s First Monday Breakfast event.

The Woman of Distinction Award recognizes a woman who has demonstrated exceptional leadership through her professional endeavors, community involvement and social responsibility, thereby supporting and advancing her community and respective field.

“We’re thrilled to honor Allison with the Woman of Distinction Award,” said Cobb Chamber President & CEO Sharon Mason. “She gives selflessly to her community and industry, putting others first and ensuring no woman is left behind in the workplace. Allison represents the best of what Cobb County has to offer.”

As Director of Operations at Win-Tech Inc., an aerospace precision machine shop, she has quickly become one of the top women in her field, and leads efforts to raise women up within the manufacturing industry. Recently, Giddens travelled to England as the representative for Georgia Women in Manufacturing to meet with leaders to discuss strategies for recruiting powerful young women for the manufacturing industry.

In addition to supporting women in the workplace, Giddens founded the Dave Krache Foundation in 2012 to honor her father and carry on his commitment to the youth in her community. The non-profit helps pay sports fees for local kids in need. The organization has been able to help nearly 700 metro Atlanta children receive help in the form of new sports equipment, uniforms and sports fees.

Giddens is also actively involved in her local community, and serves on the board of several organizations, including the Women in Manufacturing Board of Directors, Chattahoochee Technical College Foundation Board, Cobb County School District CTAE Advisory Board and the Leadership Cobb Alumni Association Board. She has also been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance’s 2016 Frontline Leadership Award and the August 2016 Georgia Tech MEP Face of Manufacturing. She was named the 2017 Woman of Excellence by Metalforming Magazine, and recognized as the 2018 liveSafe Resources Woman of Achievement.

DeNyse Companies sponsored the Cobb Chamber’s June First Monday Breakfast event.
