Cobb Chamber Names John Loud of LOUD Security Systems as its 2020 Chairman

Today, the Cobb Chamber’s Board of Directors has named John Loud, President of LOUD Security Systems, as its 2020 Chairman of the Board.

Loud will succeed Mitch Rhoden, President and CEO of Futren Hospitality, who begins his term as Chairman of the Board in 2019. Loud will start his term as Chairman in January 2020.

Most recently, he led the Chamber’s most successful Membership Campaign in our history and he has made a major impact over the years in many of our programs and initiatives to advance a thriving economy. He is very committed to Cobb County, and John embodies the energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and vision to propel the Chamber’s future growth.”

Loud has been involved in the Cobb Chamber since 2009. In that time he has served on the Chamber’s Board of Directors, with roles on the Finance Committee and Government Affairs Committee. Loud has also served on the Chamber’s Executive Committee as Vice Chairman of Marketing and Communications, Vice Chairman of Member and Community Programs, and Vice Chairman of Member Development. He has also been involved in SelectCobb (formerly known as Cobb’s Competitive EDGE) Board of Directors since its inception and has led efforts to recruit more investors. Due to his innovation and commitment, Loud has been the recipient of many prestigious awards, including two of the Cobb Chamber’s top honors: the Chairman’s Award and the Mack Henderson Service Award. In 2014, LOUD Security Systems was named the Small Business of the Year. John Loud is also a member of the Leadership Cobb Class of 2014 and he was recognized with the Leading with Courage Award. Since graduating from the program, he has been involved in the Leadership Cobb Alumni Association, including Co-Chairing Economic Development and Tourism Day. Loud was also named the 2013 Kennesaw Citizen of the Year.

As President of LOUD Security Systems, Loud is responsible for the management and ongoing operations for the organization. From its humble beginnings in the basement of his home, LOUD Security now employs over 60 people and services over 10,000 customers in 30 states nationwide. Under Loud’s leadership, the company has been recognized as a SDM (Security Distributing and Marketing) Magazine Top 100 Company in the Nation, a Top 10 Security Company by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and an Atlanta Journal-Constitution Top Workplace. LOUD Security Systems also earned the Business of the Year Award for both the City of Kennesaw and the City of Acworth.

Loud’s positive influence goes beyond the company doors and into the surrounding community. Loud has served as a past president of the Kennesaw Business Association and a past board member of the Acworth Business Association. He has served as a past president and board member of the Georgia Electronic Life Safety and Systems Association. He is currently serving on the Board of Trustees for the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre and on the Board of Directors for ServisFirst Bank. Loud is a member of the Leadership Advisory Council for U.S. Congressman Barry Loudermilk and is a member of Cobb County School District Superintendent Chris Ragsdale’s Business and Community Advisory Committee.

In addition to his volunteer service at the Cobb Chamber and other organizations, Loud has devoted himself to increasing the quality of life for Cobb’s citizens through various civic engagement efforts. Loud is the Co-Founder of Good for Cobb and Cobb Home of the Braves. In addition, Loud served as Co-Chairman of the 2013 E-SPLOST Campaign.

Loud is a graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Loud is the father of two children, Joshua Loud and Caroline Loud, a member of Buckhead Church and he resides in Vinings.
